NEW RELEASE COMING IN JANUARY 2021

This production of music from the Tribe features various concepts of

musical families living in Detroit communities and surrounding areas.

Detroit is known all over the world for Be-Bop Jazz as well as Motown, R&B,

Soul and other genres of music. This latest production and offering illuminates the

African diaspora whom emanated from West Africa, such as Guinea- Bissau and

Senegal, which are part of the culture fabric of Detroit. Also, we are reflecting the

intellectual ideas on education and expanded consciousness of the indigent

communities and the future of  the youth in Detroit as well as the world. Pathe

Jassi vocalist and bass player, from Senegal Africa created Siera and

Samoulén Khalé Yi, that talks about love and the future of our youth.

The compositions I wrote for this entree of music was well supported by

very skilled musicians, who brought my ideals to life. The featured

composers such as my wife Pamela Wise and Rev. Mbiyu Chui (William K. Moore)

created inspiring, prolific musical poses, such as music compositions with poetry.

They created “Revolution” that summaries contemporary events and

realities of today’s and contrasting with tradition. Also, Rev. Chui

expresses the idea in poetry that we are the “Educators”.  Miche Braden

sings an original composition, "Get Up Off Your Knees," written by yours

truly, which expresses self determination and taking control of one’s destiny

and future. Pathe Jassi joins her with chants of creole Portages.   The Tribe

production is an expression of work that reflects a positive projection of the

future. Our master percussionist Gregory “Greco” Freeman made his

transition from this earthly realm after recording this project.  He will be greatly

missed, but never forgotten.
