Kasan Belgrave gracefully stands on the steps of the jazz tradition while pushing for the modern contemporary sound.
Known for his energetic playing style and improvisational finesse, his musical prowess has more recently
been shown through new innovative compositions. His debut album "Dual Citizen" is set to be released in Dec 2024.
The core of Belgrave's musical breeding came from absorbing the presence and knowledge of Detroit's jazz elites. His father, Marcus Belgrave, is the sole foundation of Kasan's musicality, while saxophonists Wendell Harrison, Charlie Gabriel, and Donald Walden were his technique mentors.
